Bob served our country as a Surface Warfare Officer, and as an instructor and Company Officer at Naval Officer Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island. Bob worked at Hazeltine Corporation on programs such as the Patriot IFF System, Divisional Air Defense IFF, and Stealth Bomber Transponders. While at Hazeltine, Bob started an investment club for friends and fellow employees, which later provided the impetus for his current career as a financial advisor.

A part of Bob's passion is his affiliation with groups honoring our soldiers and marines. Along with his classmates from the Naval Academy, Bob hosts wounded warriors and injured marines at an annual Cost of Freedom weekend held at the Army-Navy game. The emphasis on the weekend revolves around themes such as “leave no man behind,” “freedom is not free,” and “we must never forget.” Bob is the Co-founder and President of Cost of Freedom, Inc., incorporated in 2011, whose mission is to pass the core values of honor, courage, and commitment to future generations. Bob considers these returning veterans his “special brothers and sisters.” He believes we have a responsibility to help those returning from combat to be encouraged to re-enter the work force and re-connect to Main Street, USA.

Bob supports the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, Travis Manion Foundation, America's Vet Dogs, and the Guide Dog Foundation; the latter two he is on the Board of Directors. In 2011, Bob was honored as “Man of the Year,” by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island.
